How to join the team:
Fill out the Contact Form to be put on the email distribution list.
Please turn in the following forms on the first day of practice:
Physical. Please print all pages and have the doctor fill them all out. Physicals must be dated 4/15/2022 or after to be valid for the 22-23 school year.
Concussion Form. Please print out and send to practice with your athlete.
Medical Release Form. Does not need to be notarized. Please print and send to practice with your athlete.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest Acknowledgment Form. Please print and send to practice with your athlete.
Media Release Form. Please print and send to practice with your athlete.
Coaches
Head Coach/Distance: Chelsea Osborne
Coach Osborne has been involved in running, either as an athlete or coach, since 1994. After HS, she ran at Appalachian State University where she was on multiple Southern Conference Cross Country, Indoor, and Outdoor Championship teams. After college, she became a Social Studies Teacher at Farragut High School and has coached Cross Country and Track while at Farragut. She is married to Nathan and they have two dogs, Kaila and Milo.
Head Coach/Sprints: Ty Kosa
Ty is retired Army serving 22 years in the miliatary. He currently works in Defense Contracting as a COO for an Alaskan Native Corporation. He holds a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology and Sports Management. Ty is married with three grown children, one he has the privelege of coaching alongside of. He competed in Track & Field in California both in High School and college. Ty has coached Track & Field for 32 years at various levels from High School to the Army’s World Class Athlete Program. He recently moved to Tennessee from Virginina where he was the Head Teack & Field and Cross Country Coach for Forest Park High School. He brings an expertise in Sprinting, specifically the 400m distance, while having a solid knowledge of all Track & Field events.
Throws Coach: Don Jones
Served twenty years in the A.F. as a Security Forces member. Coached eight years, shot put and discus for Hampton City youth program in Hampton, Virginia. Nine years as a Certified USATF track official. A.A. in Criminal Justice, Certificate in Electrical Engineering currently completing A.S.in Photography and Video broadcasting from Pellissippi State Community College.
Hurdle Coach: Tyler Kosa
Tyler is currently finishing up his education required to pursue a career as a Physical Therapist. He ran Track & Filed in High School and college earning multiple accolades as a hurdler, including being part of two NCAA Conference championship teams. He brings an energetic and fresh perspective to the team as a hurdle coach and will be a key addition to Coach Vic in developing State competitive hurdlers. His education provides him an expertise in strength development for athletes, while his experiences as a collegiate athlete gives him a recent perspective on collegiate competition and what it takes to compete at that level.
